These dies have standard threads (7/8" x 14tpi), so can be used on most reloading machines. They are primarily intended for single-stage reloading, but bottle-necked calibres work well on progressive machines too. In fact, they are well suited for progressive reloading machines where space on the tool head is limited, and the top-adjustments offer incredible convenience.
Case lube is not required on seating dies. In general, as part of a progressive reloading process, we recommend using an easy-to-apply, spray-on case lubricant like Smooth Glide (SSB-SGCL).
Case lube saves wear and tear on the cartridge cases and your reloading equipment; you'll feel the significant reduction in force required to operate the press!
This die set can be used to load the following calibres: .338 Winchester Magnum
This calibre is part of Redding's Category III. Dies in Category 0 represent Redding's popular handgun and straight-wall rifle calibres and are thus offered at the lowest prices. Dies in Category I through Category III are bottleneck calibres and more expensive to produce.
Custom competition bullet seating dies are not available.
